Called them tonight and they are open for delivery only.
We ordered delivery from them on Saturday; it was pretty good — we got the grilled paneer, the samosas in gravy, and some bindi masala.
It was soooo good.. so much better than Bombay Grill. Cleaner than Kinara’s. I got the Lamb Vindaloo.. not as spicy as vindaloo should be but very tasty. The samosas I got with it were delicious. My mom got chicken madras which I tasted and it was perfect. She loved the potato tikiyas which I didn’t try.
The naan is perfect, even the rice tastes great.
why is there no edible indian food in brooklyn? this is horrid food. join the co op and get a can of sag intead. the can has a picture of a pretty lady, it doesn’t cost $30 and it doesn’t suck. chicken korma was like chicken in broth made of lipton’s soup out of a paper envelope. lame! decor is definitely nice, but don’t get take out. wait until you have enough energy to go to curry hill – pongal or channai garden. samosas were acceptable but so are the ones out of the package. thumbs down!
Baluchi’s is horrible. It ain’t real. It’s indian Olive Garden.
Agrees with mytvdinner. In fact it is very difficult to find a decent Indian restaurants, so much so we were never keen on Indian food. Then we were invited by your friends who were having private cooking session with Indian home cooking. Aromas, colors, tastes just blew us away, we had to change our opinion about Indian food. We were told food cooked in Indian homes is very different than the horrible food served in Indian restaurants. So get invited by some of your Indian friends:)
